<p>Good ole Gary from Frodsham is back where he belongs. Singer, songwriter, Take That heartthrob extraordinaire is returning to his Cheshire roots. Ok so it&#8217;s just for one night only. But we&#8217;re still pleased as punch to hear he&#8217;s just been announced as the latest headliner at Forest Live 2025 in Delamere Forest. </p>



<p>Part of his solo Songbook Tour, he&#8217;ll be gracing the stage on Sat 14 June, belting out favourites from the Take That era all the way through to his solo classics. And whilst it&#8217;s too early for any setlist to be announced, we&#8217;d wager Back for Good might be on there. One of the band&#8217;s biggest tracks, the 90&#8217;s iconic song turns 30 in March 2025. Yep, 30! How old does that make you feel? Gather up your Take That chums, dig out the old TT t-shirt and grab your tickets. They go on sale at&nbsp;9.30am on Fri 29 Nov. <p>Talk of the town this month has got to be Aiden Byrne&#8217;s new cooking venture, <a href="https://www.lilyrestaurant.co.uk/">Li-ly</a>. After years steering the kitchen at The Church Green in Lymm, he and his wife, Sarah, have landed in Knutsford with their new neighbourhood restaurant. Bringing to life the acclaimed chef&#8217;s passion for inventive food and commitment to local produce, Li-ly promises to be a wholly memorable dining destination. Even good ole Sir Alex Ferguson arrived for the opening party. Hunker down in here for the six-course lunch set menu, or nine courses if you arrive for dinner, warming things up with a big balloon glass of gin from Mobberley-based Big Hill Distillery. Definitely one to watch.</p>

<p>Another super exciting opening to have on your hit list this month is <a href="https://www.restaurant209.com/">209</a> &#8211; a new neighbourhood joint in Farndon with a strong focus on British seasonal cooking. At the helm are Felix Shore and Anna Roseblade, a husband and wife team, who transformed a crumbly farmhouse caff into a cool and contemporary space, where diners huddle round wooden tables beneath giant swinging bulbs. Our advice? Go now, and tell all your friends.</p>

<p>Bringing some proper East End swagger to our green and serene county is Dizzee Rascal, one of the just-announced headliners at next summer&#8217;s Together Again festival. Taking over the vast grounds of Bolesworth Castle from 25-27 July, this brand spanking new shindig is very much a family affair. Olly Murrs, Jake Bugg, Professor Green, Ocean Colour Scene, Gabrielle and Charlie Simpson (of Busted!) are all on the bill. And if you fancy going the whole hog and camping over for the weekend with your entire brood, you can bring the grandparents FOR FREE! Live music, the great outdoors, endless tinnies of G&amp;T and free childcare. This might just be the blueprint for the best family fest ever. </p>

<p>Finally, another newbie on the Manchester dining scene that&#8217;s turning heads is Blacklock. And as the first offshoot outside the capital from the London chophouse group, you just know it&#8217;s going to be a corker. Set in a former textile factory, the subterranean space is sharply designed with plenty of industrial touches and slick service. As for the menu? One glance and we&#8217;re convinced it&#8217;ll stir up trouble with the city&#8217;s other meaty joints (Hawksmoor and Flat Iron etc). From sirloin to prime rib and pork belly, it&#8217;s definitely one for the carnivores. But to really deep dive into Blacklock&#8217;s superb produce, head there on a Sunday, kicking things off with a punchy breakfast martini and roasts cooked over coals. </p>
