<p>Nine years ago, Jenny had an idea. A single mum of an 18-month-old and with bills to pay, she had to figure out how she was going to pull in enough cash to survive. But she didn&#8217;t want to go back to her pre-baby career as a fashion buyer, jetting around the world and missing out on time with her little boy, Leo. During his (sporadic) naps and long evenings, she started to craft wedding invitations, which evolved into cards, and eventually into a carefully curated collection of gifts, homeware and personalised PJs that have become a massive hit on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ssdstationery/">Instagram</a>. <a href="https://signedsealeddelivered.shop/">SSD Gifts</a> was born and nine years later, and with another little boy in tow, this one-woman brand has garnered a loyal following and is stronger than ever. Here the craft queen and lover of all that glitters reveals her fave Cheshire haunts&#8230;</p>

<p>Sunday is definitely my down time and chill day and I love the roast dinners at this Irish-style pub. The Yorkshire puddings are huge and crisp and my boys all love tucking in before they jump down and potter around the play area or dance when the live music kicks in. Every weekend, there&#8217;s a brilliant fiddle player, Collette and she moves between the tables playing to the crowds. She&#8217;s a legend.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve always been a sucker for a hot chocolate and the team at Gail&#8217;s really does know how to create the most luxurious. For the true chocoholics out there, order yourself a reserve chocolate chip cookie and dip it into their hot choc, which is made by swirling chocolate buttons into hot milk. It&#8217;s to die for and the perfect pick-me-up after a late night working.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I swear you won’t beat these girls.&nbsp;Over in Hale, the Brow Game is such a lovely and friendly salon. And even if I&#8217;ve left my brows go a bit wild, they just know how to transform them and have them looking their best again. I still can&#8217;t believe how much good brows can transform your face. Definitely an essential part of my beauty routine. </p>

<p>As for holidays? I&#8217;m very happy on a pair of skis and love the feeling of gliding down a mountain. We had a dreamy family trip to Chamonix last year and we&#8217;re heading there again for February half term so I&#8217;ve been taking my nine-year-old, Leo, to The Chill Factore in Manchester to brush up before we&#8217;re back on the slopes.</p>

<p>There are a lot of hairstylists in this part of Cheshire and I&#8217;ve tried so many. But the team at David Anthony just know how to create this lovely chilled atmosphere and they have this knack for making my highlights look super natural. They&#8217;re the best around. </p>

<p>I grew up with very outdoorsy parents and as a kid, they always took us to the Lake District where we&#8217;d stay in a big house with friends and all head out on long, muddy walks. And luckily my parents have their own little place there now in Troutbeck &#8211; a sleepy little village in the namesake valley. It&#8217;s truly one of my favourite places in the world when I need to escape, spending days paddle boarding on Ullswater, walking around Elterwater, and taking my boys to all the wild places I explored as a child. </p>

<p>For a proper treat, I book myself a facial at this skin care clinic. I don&#8217;t know how they do it but every time I leave, my skin feels glowy, nourished and restored. And given I have a very busy family life and work schedule, it&#8217;s easy to neglect my self-care routine. But the team here tailor each treatment to the client and they really do work.</p>

<p>If I&#8217;m heading out for dinner, this Greek-inspired restaurant is usually top of my list. I don&#8217;t eat meat but there&#8217;s still plenty on the menu that excites me. My tip? Go for the halloumi Koulouri, covered in sesame seeds &#8211; it&#8217;s insane. And always order the Greek filo cigars, filled with feta and wild oregano and drizzled in honey. I love ordering a few small plates for the middle of the table and picking at them. And if I&#8217;m heading for a nightcap or three? It&#8217;s got to be cocktails in Suburban Green. It&#8217;s always buzzy and fun and the raspberry mojito is my fave.</p>

<p>One of my favourite walks around here is walking from Twinnie&#8217;s Bridge through the shady Styal Woods and towards Quarry Bank Mill. I&#8217;ve done it countless times, with my kids or my mum, and I&#8217;ll never get bored of it. You could grab a an ice cream and coffee from the mill&#8217;s shop. But I prefer to walk a little further, away from the mill, through a sweeping field, to The Ship Inn  &#8211; a super cosy spot for a drink and a packet of crisps by the fire or under the tipi out the back. </p>
