<p>Ahh the English summer! The nights are light, your tan&#8217;s glowing and the sun&#8217;s out. Ok, so not always up here, but Cheshire does put on a mighty fine calendar of music festivals as summer hits. And really, when it comes down to it, there&#8217;s nothing more quintessentially English than wrestling with tent poles, shrugging off the rain and drinking and dancing under the stars. Bag your tickets now to shake off the winter blues&#8230;</p>

<p>Tickets are flying out the door for the wildly popular&nbsp;<a href="https://www.forestryengland.uk/music">Forest Live</a>&nbsp;– the annual summer music bash held in a patch of wilderness in Delamere Forest. For starters, Gary Barlow will be gracing the stage on Sat 14 June, belting out favourites from the Take That era all the way through to his solo classics. Snow Patrol will be rocking up on Fri 13 June. And Stockport indie-rockers, Blossoms, have been unveiled as headliners on Sat 21 June – the North West five-piece who stormed the stage at Glastonbury in 2023 with none other than Rick Astley.&nbsp;Singer-songwriter&nbsp;Seb Lowe&nbsp;and fellow Mancunian up-and-comers&nbsp;The Guest List are also set to grace the stage.</p>

<p>Bringing some proper East End swagger to our green and serene county is Dizzee Rascal, one of the just-announced headliners at next summer’s Together Again festival. Taking over the vast grounds of Bolesworth Castle from 25-27 July, this brand spanking new shindig is very much a family affair. Olly Murrs, Jake Bugg, Professor Green, Ocean Colour Scene, Gabrielle and Charlie Simpson (of Busted!) are all on the bill. Plus thAnd if you fancy going the whole hog and camping over for the weekend with your entire brood, you can bring the grandparents FOR FREE! Live music, the great outdoors, endless tinnies of G&amp;T and free childcare. This might just be the blueprint for the best family music festival ever. 25-27July. </p>

<p>This epic three-day festival in the sprawling grounds of Ashley Hall is back following its hugely successful debut last year. Razorlight is heading up the line-up with UB40, 10CC  and Toploader also on the bill. Plus it&#8217;s been announced Badly Drawn Boy and Squeeze will be appearing on stage on the Thursday. If you fancy making a proper weekend of it, there&#8217;s camping or caravans, campers and motorhomes. And we all know what the weather&#8217;s like up here, so hot showers will be on hand and proper loos. Oh and new this year will be daily sauna sessions and cold plunges to shrug off the hangover. 3-6 July. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-tatton-park-foodies-festival"><a href="https://foodiesfestival.com/events/cheshire-2/">Tatton Park Foodies Festival</a></h2>

<p>Not just a music fest. But an all-out eating (and drinking) extravaganza in the vast sprawls of Tatton Park. So we&#8217;re not just talking your standard bag of chips or soggy noodles classed as street food. But genuinely top-notch food, plus cooking demos and workshops from acclaimed chefs including Adam Reid (Adam Reid at The French), Simon Wood (WOOD Manchester), Stuart Collins (Docket No.33) and Ritchie Stainsby (<em>Masterchef: The Professionals 2024</em>). As for music, The Wanted 2.0, Symphonic Ibiza and Blue will be providing the soundtrack. 11-13 July. </p>

<p>Happy Mondays are one of the kingpin acts at this gargantuan family fest in the green grounds of Cholmondeley Castle. Bag tickets here and you&#8217;ll also be belting out the lyrics to <em>I Will Survive</em>, when disco queen Gloria Gaynor graces the stage and dancing wildly to a DJ set from Sigala and Symphonic Ibiza. All this, plus silent discos, street food stalls, fairground rides, circus workshops, kiddie play areas and magnificently, Dee River Kayaking will be bringing along their gear for some waterbound fun. Farm off the kids with your other half and you can book in at the Gin Journey for a tasting &#8211; and drinking &#8211; session, too. And this being a family music festival, the crew behind it won&#8217;t raise eyebrows if you bring in your own picnic and soft drinks. Camping and glamping available, too. 7-10 August.</p>

<p>Still a raver at heart? Sling on your hot pants and sunnies and hotfoot it to Daresbury where Creamfields will be landing for its 2025 shindig. Rightfully synonymous with some of the biggest dance acts in the country, Creamfields has grown into a four-day mammoth party. Where starry-eyed festival goers eat, sleep, rave, repeat to the sounds of electronica. The line-up is yet to be announced but bags tickets now as it&#8217;s always a stunner of a festival. 21-24 August. </p>
