<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-where-will-the-brits-2026-take-place">Where will The BRITS 2026 take place?</h2>



<p>For 2026 and 2027, <a href="https://brits.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The BRIT Awards</a> will be staged at Co‑op Live in Manchester. Hosting here rather than London signals a huge cultural moment for Manchester — the city that gave the world Oasis, The Smiths, Joy Division and more is finally getting its live music awards on home turf. The ceremony streams live on ITV, ITVX, STV and STV Player — and with that national spotlight comes buzzing fringe events, workshops, gigs and pop‑ups right across the city. Even the trophy has be redesigned by Manchester-born designer Matthew Williamson, cast in amber-toned resin, glowing like liquid gold. A nod to the worker bee, Manchester’s enduring emblem, it sits atop a globe, flexing the global force of British music.</p>

<p>Jack Whitehall is back in the chair for his sixth time hosting the <a href="https://brits.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BRITs</a>. And it turns out the comedian is a big fan of the city — it’s where he cut his comedy teeth, studied at uni and started performing on local circuits. Whitehall’s &#8216;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DSCOhR-jerP/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ode to Manchester</a>&#8216; teaser reel paid homage to everything from Coronation Street to the Curry Mile, setting the tone for a night that’s both big and rooted in the city’s culture. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-who-has-been-nominated">Who has been nominated?</h2>

<p>Olivia Dean&nbsp;is leading the pack with five nominations, from Artist of the Year to Album of the Year and Pop Act. Tied with her is the brilliant&nbsp;Lola Young, whose breakthrough year has earned her nods across multiple categories.</p>



<p>Close behind is Manchester-born Sam Fender, nominated four times including Album of the Year and Best Alternative/Rock Act after a Mercury Prize-winning run. Meanwhile, the enduringly cool Lily Allen is back in the mix, as well as Pulp.</p>



<p>And then there’s the rest of the shortlist: Fred again.., JADE, Little Simz, PinkPantheress, Self Esteem, Dave and Wolf Alice — all of whom bring different flavours to the table, from genre-bending pop to fearless alternative and grime. The Critics’ Choice Award has already crowned Jacob Alon, a singer-songwriter tipped as the next big thing, whilst Noel Gallagher will be picking up this year’s Songwriter of the Year award on the night. Eek, it&#8217;s going to be on helluva night!</p>

<p>This year’s <a href="https://brits.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BRITs</a> stage promises to be a showstopper. Olivia Dean, one of the night’s most-nominated artists, is set to perform with at least one live spot. And then there&#8217;s, of course, Harry Styles — yes, Harry Styles is officially confirmed too, and will debut music from his new album live on TV for the first time. With a global tour and a fresh record on the way, this is one of the biggest pop music moments of the year. Wolf Alice, Mark Ronson and Spanish music star ROSALÍA will also be rocking out on stage. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-are-tickets-still-available">Are tickets still available?</h2>



<p>The short answer is no. General tickets went on sale in December 2025 and sold out quickly. BUT there are some resale options available through Ticketmaster, though it&#8217;ll be at a premium. Fans can also sign up for official BRITs alerts in case more tickets are released or returned. Chances are slim, but cross those toes and fingers and you might just be in luck.</p>
