<p>Hop on over to Hoole, on the outskirts of Chester, for a matcha stirred up in this minimalist, serene spot. Taking its cues from the antipodean brunch scene, it&#8217;s a gorgeous little caff to hunker down first thing and order a revitalising matcha to kick off your day. You could keep things simple with a classic, but flavours vary, from raspberry coconut matcha, to iced cherry Bakewell with house-made syrup. Pair, too, with one of its insane brunch boards &#8211; a smorgasbord of sourdough, seeded avocado, poached egg, granola yoghurt, smoked salmon, and Belgian waffle with banana, chia seeds and honey. </p>

And whilst coffee is its mainstay, the team are also pros at whipping up A-grade matchas in its down-to-earth cafe. Feeling the heat? Make it an iced matcha and pair with smashed avocado on sourdough for all the green-leaning brunch feels. </p>

<p>Mosey on over to the formidable Altrincham Market and you&#8217;ll find this bijou stall whose sole focus is to conjure dreamy cups of matcha. Crafted with ceremonial-grade matcha from the heart of Japan, and sourced from farmers who have perfected their craft over generations, UJI Matcha offers an elaborate menu with dreamy flavours including cherry blossom, blueberry muffin and pistachio and white chocolate, topped with light and fluffy matcha cream. We&#8217;re obsessed! </p>

<p>If you&#8217;re a coffee aficionado, then you&#8217;ll know about this globally-inspired space in Northwich, where provenance and process come front and centre. And whilst there&#8217;s no denying the coffee is astonishingly good, sip one of its matcha lattes and you&#8217;ll have an inkling why so many of Gen Z are obsessed with the Japanese tea. Especially with exotic flavours, from mango lassi to strawberry, coconut and rose. It&#8217;s a matcha made in heaven. </p>

<p>The team behind this pink-tinged cafe, tucked away in Macclesfield, are husband-and-husband duo, Mika and Dan, who are passionate advocates for gay and trans rights. But they&#8217;re also wildly excited about bringing creative bakes to this corner of Cheshire, all of which are conjured in their in-house bakery. That and their innovative matcha blends, crafted using ceremonial grade matcha from Kyoto and made in bowls by local ceramicist <a href="https://pen-y-bontceramics.co.uk">Pen y Bond Ceramics</a>.</p>
